Bloom where you are planted...

Img_0522

(Insert witty, deep, and clever post here.)

I am sitting at the computer desk, staring at this mainly white screen (the screen where I write all of this is much plainer than the one you read) wondering what to write.  There is my superficial and entertaining things, I could venture to finish the alphabet meme (I think I'm on the letter N?), I could write about Mexico, or maybe I could write about the deep and intimate things swimming in the darkest caves of my heart.

I love words.  I am seldom speechless.  I love sharing and interacting verbally.  I even love talking to large crowds from behind a microphone.  I'm also a very open person.  So, technically, there should be nothing holding me back... right?

This was so much easier when this was a knitting blog. {grin}

You know what?  God is doing amazing things in our lives.  He is revealing Himself to us every day.  I am blown away by that.  I feel him pulling our hearts closer to Him and it excites me.   He is strengthening our marriage, He is teaching us things individually, and He is sustaining us.

That's all I want to talk about.

The funny thing is - when I contemplate all that He is and all He is doing...

I am speechless.

Trying to be Blog-rific

Feel free to stroll around the sidebars, I've done a little housekeeping.  Changed things up a bit.

I'd like to do one more major over-haul.  I want to import the posts from Some Call Them Sticks and Strings at Typepad and Blogger.  It may appear I've only been doing this a few month if you're new, when actually I have been blogging since August 2004.

Typepad has a tool I can use to get the posts in from blogger, but I'm not sure how to get the posts from one typepad blog to another.  I think I'll have to email the tech support on this one.

Other than that, we are cozying in today.  Mr. Weatherman is saying we'll be getting 8-10 inches of snow from a storm system that will be going through this afternoon (another snow-storm is supposedly brewing in CO. and will be heading this way later this week.)  I'm digusted.  It's terrible.  It's a poke-in-the-eye from mother nature.

Can we really say WI offers four seasons if one of them lasts longer than the other three combined?

Who's Amy Lu?

  • Let me introduce myself! I'm a 30-something stay-at-home home-schooling Mother of two (one by adoption, one by birth). I love to craft, I love to cook, I love to knit, and I can't keep my house clean to save my life. I've been married to my college sweet-heart since 1995. I've lived in the Midwest all my life and just in case you didn't know, Lake Michigan is my lake.
